Asbestos Awareness Walk 2025

Updated: Apr 24

We would like to express our sincere & heartfelt thank you to all those who supported our Global Asbestos Awareness Walk in April 2025. We had the pleasure of being joined by sufferers, family members & friends, colleagues, legal professionals and volunteers.

We were lucky to have been joined by Photographer, Nile Ateem (Bainbridge Asbestos Services), who kindly volunteered his time to capture precious moments of togetherness and unity whilst raising awareness of asbestos diseases along with fundraising for our charity to allow us to continue to provide vital support.

We are also very thankful to Nasstar, Inspire Social Care Services & Bunzl who offered a volunteer day in order for their staff to donate their time to support our cause.

Together we walked across 7 Bridges, starting out at Westminster, Waterloo, Blackfriars, Millennium, Southwark, London & onto Tower Bridges. The weather was on our side and the walk was truly an inspiring event.

Along the route we spoke to passers by about asbestos exposure and handed out informative leaflets highlighting the dangers of asbestos along with facts and figures.

The walk was 5 miles in total and the sun shone the whole way. We were provided with well earned refreshments and snacks at White Mulberries, Hays Galleria and we would like to thank Rana for her valuable support. https://whitemulberries.com/pages/hays-galleria.

Together we raised a staggering amount of £6456.00 in total and we are delighted this will provide a Mesothelioma Clinical Nurse Specialist for 3 months! We cannot thank you enough for your support. If you would like to provide any feedback please contact jodie@lasag.org.uk
