Kings School Recreation Centre, Canterbury, Kent raises a massive £5419.43

We would like to express our sincere thank you to Natalie Collins, Centre Manager, of The Kings School Recreation Centre.

Natalie nominated our charity as the charity of choice to raise awareness of Mesothelioma and to raise vital funds for us to continue our work to support sufferers and family members.

Sadly, Natalie lost her father Colin, in October 2022 after being diagnosed with Mesothelioma in August 2021. Colin was a keen sportsman and worked hard to raise awareness and funds for our charity, in recognition of the support he and his family received from our support worker, Denise Hodges.

The staff arranged a series of events throughout the year which ranged from the bake off, summer fitness games, the tough mudder challenge to wellness week which included rowing, yoga and even a distance cycle challenge.

The distance cycle challenge saw staff members unite to cycle the distance between Manchester and Istanbul, a total of 2700 kilometres.

Natalie received the cheque from the Bursarof The Kings School Recreation Centre, who then presented a cheque to our support worker, Denise Hodges.

We would like to say a special thank you to all the staff members and members of the public who took part in the events to raise such an amazing amount of money. Your support is overwhelming and very much appreciated.

If you would like to support us in raising awareness of mesothelioma or to take part in any fundraising please contact support@lasag.org.uk.
