It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend our Zoom support group on 2nd October 2023 at 11am facilitated by our support worker, Louise Chaffe.
We will be joined by Special Guest Speaker, Dr Ravindhi Murphy, medical advisor at the Centre for Drug Development (CDD), Cancer Research UK. She is a consultant medical oncologist based at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Murphy works on a number of early phase trials within the CDD portfolio including the DETERMINE trial. DR Murphy will be discussing The DETERMINE and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
The DETERMINE trial is a multi-drug, precision medicine trial for adults, teenagers and children with rare cancers, which is now open for patient recruitment in the UK. It is a tumour agnostic trial that will explore whether treatments already approved for use in some cancer types can target identifiable genetic alterations in other types. Drugs which show promising results will be accelerated for Cancer Drug Fund (CDF) assessment and NHS approval. The chief investigator for the trial is Dr Matthew Krebs.
